You walk in, order, and pay for your drinks, food and dessert at the register. You're given a number and they bring your food to you. We always sit outside because the ambience here is just incredible. It's the best on warm, summer nights when you can sit outside, enjoy a nice slice of cake and sip on your tea or coffee.
When I ventured there this past Saturday night, my friend and I decided to split the chicken and proscuitto panino. This sandwich had grilled chicken, proscuitto, provolone cheese, sun dried tomatoes, arugula, and sage on grilled focaccia. It also comes with a side, generally fries, but you can also substitute for a salad.
Trust me on this one: save room for dessert. My family and I will make the 30-45 minute trek here JUST for a slice of cake. The red velvet ding dong is my absolute favorite. We went the night before the Oscars and they had these adorable cookies with the nominations for best picture on them. I had to support my favorite nominee, Whiplash.
